Oxxxymiron

Description

Oxxxymiron (Miron Fedorov) – Russian hip-hop artist, lyricist, one of the most commercially successful rappers in Russia.

Born on January 31, 1985 in Leningrad. In his youth he lived in Germany, in Essen. As a teenager, he began writing rap in Russian. From the age of 15 he lived in the UK in a small town in Berkshire. There he graduated from school and entered Oxford. Received a university diploma with a degree in English medieval literature. He moved to the East End of London, where, unable to work in his specialty, he did odd jobs. Communication with Russian emigrants confirmed his intention to return to hip-hop.

Since 2008, under the pseudonym Oxxxymiron (from the lit. term “oxymyuron” - a combination of contradictory concepts), the hip-hop artist has been releasing his tracks and actively participating in rap battles. Since 2013, the musician has lived in his native St. Petersburg.

First studio album “The Eternal Jew” came out in 2011. He is considered one of the most prominent representatives of intellectual rap, despite the abundance of obscene language in the texts.

The artist’s discography includes 3 studio albums and three mixtapes. In addition to writing new compositions and performing in concerts, Miron Fedorov is known as a screenwriter (one of the co-authors of the series “Londongrad”) and an actor (the film “Tchaikovsky’s Wife”).

In 2023, he went on a large concert tour called World Tour.
